Cropping your photos can make a big difference to how your final image feels. Ideally you would decide the best version while you are shooting and frame it accordingly. Sometimes you will want to crop later.
If you're not sure, try a few variations and check afterwards which one tells the best version of your story.
Practice this process and you will get faster at deciding what to do when you are taking the photo. The more decisive you are, the better your photograph will turn out.
