Here's a question : how much of something do you have to show, to know what it is?
When we are creating photographs, most of the time we want to show the whole thing. Whatever that may be.
But in reality, even if we only show a (sometimes small) part of the subject, our brains will most likely be able to fill in the gaps. And most often, less is more.
I will regularly ask myself "how little of this subject can i show and still know what it is?"
The answer might just surprise you.
